Chef/Owner of Luckybee Kitchen
Chef Jenny Castor resides in Fort Worth, Texas and is Chef/Owner of the boutique food truck and boutique catering company, Luckybee Kitchen. With a BA from Texas Christian University in Education and Art, she also graduated with honors in both the Savory and Pastry Arts from The Culinary School of Fort Worth, where she went on to become a Chef Instructor for all levels and disciplines.
Although she grew up working in the service industry, her focused interest in cooking began after a long illness and bout with depression that kept her in bed for several months. During that time, friends and family provided her young family with meals, most often take out. Having nothing but time on her hands, she watched cooking shows day in and out and vowed that when she got better, she would learn to cook for her family. Unknowingly, the following Christmas, her husband and children gifted her enrollment into culinary school with “no strings attached”..but simply wanted to give Jenny a reason to get out of bed each day. Hesitantly, she accepted the challenge. As the days and weeks passed, she found her mental and physical capacity vastly improving and discovered her passion for cooking as she saved up all her strength each week to attend the program.
Food changed the course of her life forever and she has since found a flourishing career in doing what she loves. Luckybee Kitchen, established in 2016, has won Fort Worth Magazine’s coveted “Best Of ” awards in 2017/2019 for both Food Truck and Catering categories, as well as $5,000 in grand prize money her first year in business in a large Texas food truck competition.
