Floral assistant will report to the farm manager. The floral assistant will be responsible for the growing and the maintenance of the flower field as well as creating the market bouquets and arrangements weekly. This is a full-time position, 5 days per week. Weekday hours are 7:30am-4:30pm and Saturday hours are 6:00am-2:00pm (start times and hours can vary with the season). We work 5 days a week on a split schedule, typically Monday to Friday or Tuesday through Saturday. Due to the unique obligations of farm life, you may be occasionally asked work additional days/hours. This is a year-round position. Competitive pay based on experience.

Responsibilities include:​

  • Floral Design

  • Harvesting

  • Bed preparation

  • Irrigation

  • Seeding

  • Transplanting

  • Weeding

Job Requirements: 

  • Some experience in small scale flower farming and/or floral design is a plus but not a requirement

  • A creative eye with attention to detail

  • Able to do physical work and lift 50+ lbs consistently through the day

  • Able to stand and/or walk during entire work day

  • Able to frequently stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl

  • Able to work outdoors under varying weather conditions (hot, cold, rain, etc.)

  • Able to work both independently and as part of a larger team

  • Able to multitask

  • Attention to detail

  • Good communication skills

  • Good customer service skills

  • A valid driver’s license

  • Positive Attitude
